How to Contribute to Your IRA

To open an IRA account, complete an IRA Application Form and mail it back to Harbor Funds with your bank instructions.  You can either complete the application via DocuSign, or print the blank application and complete it by hand.

For the 2025 tax year, your total contributions to all of your Traditional and Roth IRAs cannot be more than $7,000 ($8,000 if you're age 50 or older), or your taxable compensation for the year, if your compensation was less than this dollar amount. For the 2026 tax year, your total contributions to all of your Traditional and Roth IRAs cannot be more than $7,500 ($8,600 if you’re age 50 or older), or your taxable compensation for the year, if your compensation was less than this dollar amount.

The SEP IRA contribution limit is the lesser of 25% of your compensation or $70,000 for 2025 and $72,000 for 2026.
